- The UART in a stock Amiga is an integrated function of the custom chips,
- not a separate stand-alone chip. As far as how fast it can reliably
- operate, that depends on several things: the speed of the CPU, the DMA
- timing available (more colors/resolution=less DMA time for serial), the
- serial device in use, and others. Make sure you have a cable that
- handles hardware handshake (CTS/RTS) and that your software is set to use it.

- On both a 1200 with Fast RAM and my current Warp 4000, 57600 was/is no
- problem. On a stock 4000, you should at least be able to do 38400 (I think).
